Sunflower Series I

I am starting a new series, "Sunflower Series", and this large 24" x 30" deep canvas is the first. In this series, I will use different color schemes with the same Impressionist style. Sunflower Series I has rich colors and was created by manipulating the paint with air. The coppery brown color, with its texture, resembles leather. Black, gold, brown, and off-white form the petals and the center of the flower is black. If you open the cut out photo, you can see the detail. A nice lacquer finish will keep the colors vibrant for years to come. The pictures do not do the painting justice. The beauty of acrylic pour paintings is in the textures and movement of the paint to create one of a kind pieces of art.
