Gum Tree One

This painting was so much fun. I am always amazed at what can be created by pouring and swiping acrylic paint. It was done solely with the swipe technique. Open the photos and you can actually see the rounded curvature of the tree base and the shadows that showed up provide definition. The beauty of acrylic pour paintings is in the textures and movement of the paint to create one of a kind pieces of art. This painting has muted cells and feathering to add a magical touch. This painting is 12" x 12" on a very deep 2-1/2" canvas so it does not need a frame. The colors are white, black, and grey. It has been sealed with a clear gloss finish to protect the acrylic colors for years to come.
